About Us

Michelle Andreani and Mindi Scott are novelists from opposite coasts who met through an online Young Adult Writing class. For years, they critiqued each other’s manuscripts, and then they wrote an entire book together—all while exchanging thousands and thousands (oh, and thousands) of emails, texts, and Tweets. Michelle lives in New York City, and The Way Back to You is her first novel. Mindi lives near Seattle, Washington, and her books are Freefall, Live Through This, Violent Ends, and The Way Back to You.

MnM Author Shoot-2593Hi, there! I’m Michelle Andreani.

I’m from New York City, so I first learned to drive a car when I was in my twenties, which is totally normal, I swear! I also have two agoraphobic cats who would not be great at road trips, honestly, but they make up for that with extreme cuteness.

I am a liker of many things. These things include staying in, going out dancing, love stories, beach air, milkshakes, pop songs, and Luna Lovegood.

I am also a disliker of things, namely my terrible memory (though I’ll never forget the word that cost me the Spelling Bee in third grade: Dinosaur. Dinosaur. GOD. Just . . . It’s fine.), talking on the phone, that gross noise people make when they eat, and humidity. Blech.

The Way Back to You is my first novel, and if you’re in the mood, you can  visit my website, MichelleAndreani.com, or follow me on Twitter. But no pressure!

MnM Author Shoot--9Hi, I’m Mindi Scott!

My three naughty cats howl nonstop in the car, which is never a pleasant experience for anyone involved. I live near Seattle, Washington, and my favorite road trips are the ones where my drummer husband does all the driving and I get to lounge in the front seat. (I’m really, really good at lounging.)

Some of the activities I enjoy most are reading, visiting museums to pose with Andy Warhol paintings, swooning over CGI Anakin Skywalker, eating Oreos, and matching my nail polish to my outfits. Some of the things I least enjoy experiencing are darkness, mirror mazes, the smell of bacon, and people pushing their way onto buses and elevators when others are still exiting. (Oh, and the word that cost me a Spelling Bee win? It was “separate.” Gah!)

Also! I wrote 100% of Freefall (2010) and Live Through This (2012), 7% of Violent Ends (2015), and nearly 50% of The Way Back to You (May 3, 2016). For more information about me and my novels, please visit MindiScott.com. You can also follow me on Instagram. But, I mean, only if you want to.
